A Movie Addict's Guide to New York City

While in New York, I realized that in addition to my favorite Doctor Who episodes, just how many of my favorite movies had been filmed there.

The first movie I can ever remember seeing about NYC was The Muppet Take Manhattan.  Hubs and I had an odd conversation wherein I explained I was worried about muggers while we were in Central Park - because some idiot had mugged Miss Piggy there.  Of course, I'm sure that he's reformed if he lived through the experience...and it was probably about 30 years ago...but still.

Y'all know by now that I am a total Nerd Girl...and one of the biggest fans of Doctor Who there is.  And as we're heading to NYC next week, I thought maybe I'd provide you a list of the top ten things that a Whovian (that's a big ass Doctor Who fan) should see.

Sunday Confession: This Blog is My Space

One of my favorite bloggers at More Than Cheese and Beer has several regular features.  Every Friday, I read her Friday Feats and Fails and say darn it, this Friday, yet again, I didn't join in the fun. At More than Cheese and Beer, the fails always come first. The things she isn't so proud of doing this week.  Then she posts her feats.  An incredible list of amazing things that totally makes up for the activities in the first part of her blog.

My fail this week?  It's Sunday, not Friday.   

But my feat?  It's the day for Sunday Confessions.  And of the two, although I enjoy cheese and beer on Fridays - I LOVE it on Sundays.

You all might be aware if you're also following me on social media that I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who.  Huge.  Fan.  Doctor Who.  Now that the series is running again, I will actually wait until 2:30 (my time) to watch the live feed from England.  Totally geeky.  Yes.  But I.  LOVE.  DOCTOR WHO.

I'm also a huge fan of #AskAwayFriday - and this week, I managed to convince the lovely Tamara Bowman from Tamara like Camera to join me for a Doctor Who themed #AskAwayFriday question swap!!  If you think I'm a fan of Doctor Who, wait until you meet Tamara.  She has a TARDIS shed.  And I'm not absolutely convinced she didn't marry her husband because of his slight resemblance to David Tennant.  Damn.  I should have asked her that.
