#AAF with This Momma's Ramblings

I have to admit to you guys...I've been really busy at work and my blogging is suffering.  I did just write a fantastic post, that I'm really hoping one of the bigger sites will pick up - but that will take a few weeks.  I didn't even have a glimmer of a regular Thursday post ready at 2 o'clock on Friday morning when I spied a #BuddyRequest for #AskAwayFriday. A little over 15 hours later, and this is the result!

But first, in case you've been living under a rock...let me tell you about...

A Blogiversary/Love AAF with DJ Lindsay Klein

I  know...I'm posting early - AAF is Ask Away Friday...but give me a little leeway - today marks one full year since the date of my first post.

I've learned a lot in the past year about blogging, about community - and most importantly about myself.  I feel a lot more confident about writing.  I've worked through a number of issues I was struggling with related to my ex.  And I've made a lot of friends.

I've always believed that once you get to the top (yeah, I know, I'm a long way from the top...but I'm also a far way from January of 2014) - you should send the elevator back down.  So today, I am welcoming a brand spanking new blogger to the blogosphere and providing her first introduction to one of the communities that welcomed me the most - Ask Away Friday.

New Years AAF with Bev Feldman of Linkouture

The one thing I enjoy the most about the blogging community is the opportunity to meet new people.  I've been very fortunate to be able to get to know a number of fantastic bloggers a little better through one of my favorite activities - #AskAwayFriday.  And this week, I'm getting to know a very creative, ambitious, well traveled and amusing mommy of one - Bev Feldman.

#AAF Christmas Style

I was tagged in Mrs. Tee's Love Life Laughter #AAF post last week.  OK...not specifically...but as a visitor to the blog and an AskAwayFriday participant, I felt I needed to take up the torch.

Sorry - I know it's now officially after Christmas...and all the questions are Christmas themed...but indulge me a bit...

Ask Away Friday With Jenessa

So last week was my very first #AAF Ask Away Friday.  I swapped questions with April from the 100 lb Countdown.  And truthfully...I was going to take a break for a month or so.  But while I was hopping through the #AAF blogs, I came across the lovely Jenessa Mullen from Mothering {In Real Life}.  Like me, Jenssa was also an #AAF virgin until last week.  And so we came together and this was the result.

But before I start - a recap on Ask Away Friday:

#AskAwayFriday was created by the amazing Penny from Real Housewife of Caroline County as a way to connect with other bloggers.  The format is a a great Q & A session between two blogs - 10 questions and 10 answers!  It's a great opportunity to get familiar with other blogs (and bloggers), as well as to promote your own blog.  And the added bonus is you can make new friends!

Ask Away Friday with April Grant from the 100 lb Countdown

Friday has always been one of my favourite days.  The start of the weekend.  Extra time with my kids.  Time to decompress and get ready for the next week ahead.

And this Friday is no different - except that this Friday, I've been asked to participate in #AskAwayFriday!

What is #AskAwayFriday? Well…
